Elisabeth Brun is a filmmaker, researcher and visual artist exploring questions of form, of mediation, and of the relation between human/environment. Brun holds a PhD in media studies from the University of Oslo, a post master degree in art in public space from The Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm, and 14 years of experience as a documentary director and journalist at the Norwegian Public Broadcasting (NRK). 

Of recent awards/grants are Kings College´s Ivan Juritz Prize for Creative Experiment, Visual Arts (UK), and grants from the Norwegian Arts Council and Public Art Norway (KORO). Her recent short has screened at International festivals/venues such as Oberhausen Kurtzfilmtage (DE), Montreal Festival du Nouveau Cinema (CA) and Seattle Art Museum (US), and was in 2021 nominated as best video essay of the year by Sight & Sound Magazine. Brun is born and raised in Vesterålen (NO), the archipelago close to Lofoten, and now lives in Oslo.
