by Eivind H. Natvig & Pål Moddi Knutsen

“Kom for alt er ferdig / Come for all is ready” (2012) presents the world of Anders Rosland, the parish priest who together with various interim priests conducts about 100 services for the coastal residents in isolated communities in sub-Arctic Norway.

Eivind H. Natvig lived with the priest and his family of four at the clergy house for about four months since 2012 and is still working in the island societies.

The Helgeland coast consist of about 12.000 islands, islets and reefs. Lurøy and Træna municipalities have approximately 2400 of them whereupon the Norwegian Church have scattered 12 churches and chapels in this parish.

"Come, for everything is ready" Anders Rosland says in a clear, calm voice while presenting communion wafers to the parish on a small silver plate.
